It is not a secret that HTC will soon be launching the successor to the One M9 in the market. The company has not yet revealed the launch date of the smartphone or anything else about the device except its shiny metal bezel in a teaser image. However, Internet has lately been flooded with leaks and rumours of the handset that don't seem to stop any time soon. Over the past couple of days a new set of leaks have hit the Web showing the press renders of the smartphone, live images, specifications, a possible launch date, and even a different naming scheme for the flagship handset - HTC 10.

Previously HTC unofficially confirmed the HTC One M10 moniker for the upcoming flagship smartphone. However, this might not be the case now. According to a popular tipster Evan Blass aka @evleaks, HTC will this time be ditching the 'One' and the prefix 'M' in the HTC One M10 and will be launching it with the moniker HTC 10. It should also be pointed out that HTC in its smartphone teasers has also not mentioned One M10 anywhere except a hashtag #powerof10 further cementing the rumoured HTC 10 moniker.

In the meanwhile, the HTC 10 moniker was also confirmed by another tipster @Onleaks along with some specifications and some live images showing the prototype smartphone from different angles. Blass riposted with a press render image (seen above) showing the HTC 10 from all angles. The images coming from both the tipsters are in line with each other, previous leaks, and the company's own teaser image.

The images, besides the broad chamfered edges, show the metal clad HTC 10 to sport a physical home button below the display along with two capacitive buttons for moving back and accessing multi window options. The slightly protruding rear camera with dual-LED flash is visible along with two antennas running at the top and bottom of the back panel. While there is a headphone jack at the top, the right side includes volume and power buttons. At the bottom, there is a mic, USB Type-C port, and a speaker grille. Other images in the tweet thread also hint at the HTC 10 to feature the company's Boomsound tech with Dolby Audio.

Also mentioned was the specifications of the HTC 10 along with the leaked live images. As per @Onleaks, the prototype HTC 10 model features a 5.15-inch QHD display; Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor; Adreno 530 GPU; 4GB of RAM; 12-megapixel rear camera (said to be the same as in Nexus 6P), and USB Type-C port. These specifications have already been rumoured in preliminary reports.

Blass in a separate tweet added that HTC 10 will be launching on April 19, the same date seen in the display of the smartphone in the render image. HTC is yet to announced the launch date of the handset and confirm its the smartphone specifications.

Further, Blass says HTC will not be making any Windows 10 Mobile variant of the HTC 10. HTC One (M8)was the company's last flagship to come in both Android and Windows Phone OS version.

 HP unveiled the Elite x3, His flagship Windows 10 Mobile smartphone. The Elite x3, supports Windows 10's Continuum feature. The company says it will be launching two docks, one will allow the Elite x3 to serve as a desktop, while the other would convert it into a laptop.

Two years after HP last made a Windows Phone, the American company is revisiting Microsoft's mobile operating system, only this time it is offering desktop features as well. As for the specifications, the Elite x3 sports a 5.96-inch QHD (1440x2560 pixels) Amoled display with Gorilla Glass 4 protecting it. The HP Elite x3 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC clocked at 2.15GHz coupled with 4GB of RAM, and 64GB inbuilt storage. There's also a microSD card slot should you need more storage.

On the photography front, the Elite x3 comes equipped with a 15-megapixel rear camera, and an 8-megapixel camera front-facing shooter. Other features of HP's Windows Phone smartphone include support for Wi-Fi MiMo 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, LTE, 3G, and other standard connectivity features.

The HP Elite x3 also houses a fingerprint scanner on the rear side, a 4150mAh battery with support for wireless charging using Qi or PMA standard. It also comes with IP67 rating, which provides the handset with ability to withstand immersion in water for up to 1 metre for 30 minutes.

HP is aiming for enterprise customers with the HP Elite x3 smartphone - which explains why there are so many security features on this device. In addition to dual biometrics, the HP Elite x3 is also offering 256-bit key full disk encryption, and TPM 2.0.

The company says that it will ship the HP Elite x3 with two accessories: Desk Dock and Mobile Extender. The Display Dock, which comes with a DisplayPort, two USB Type-A, one USB Type-C, and RJ-45 ethernet port, allows the phone to serve as a desktop utilising Windows 10's Continuum feature.

The Mobile Extender, on the other hand, is a laptop at its core. It houses a battery, a 12.5-inch full-HD display (1920x1080 pixels), and a keyboard. It requires the Elite x3 for the processing power. This sounds similar to the NexDock, a laptop that utilises mini-PC, or select Windows 10 Mobile handsets to convert them into a laptop.

HTC on Tuesday launched the HTC One A9 smartphone in India, after announcing it back in November. Priced at Rs. 29,990, it will be available to buy from Snapdeal from December 15. Registrations for the sale will open from Wednesday, and go on till Monday.

While HTC had announced the Desire 828 Dual SIM for India as well, the company has not yet clarified its pricing or availability in the country.

Running Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the HTC Sense UI skin on top, the HTC One A9 is the company's first Marshmallow-based handset. The company has announced only the 32GB inbuilt storage and 3GB of RAM variant of the One A9 for India, and has eschewed bringing the cheaper 16GB storage and 2GB of RAM variant. This may change in the future however, it added at the New Delhi event last month.

One of the most notable features of HTC's new One A9 smartphone is the guarantee for Android updates. At the global launch late last month, HTC America President, Jason Mackenzie, promised that the unlocked HTC One A9 will receive every Android OS update within 15 days of the Nexus range.

The One A9 is powered by an all-new 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor with 1.5GHz quad-core and 1.2GHz quad-core modules. The smartphone supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 2TB).

Featuring a 5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display, the One A9 also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for protection. There is a 13-megapixel rear camera with sapphire cover lens. It comes with f/2.0 aperture, autofocus, BSI sensor, OIS (optical image stabilisation), support for 1080p video recording, and a LED flash module. The smartphone will sport a 4-megapixel UltraPixel front-facing fixed-focus camera.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Micro-USB. Other notable features include fingerprint sensor, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, gyro, and magnetic sensor. It is powered by a 2150mAh battery. The smartphone will be available in its Carbon Grey and Pearl Silver colours in the country.

To recall, HTC One A9 has been much in the news for the much-reported similarity of its design to theiPhone 6. The Taiwanese manufacturer however has refuted these claims, and said that is in fact Apple that had copied HTC, not the other way around.

HTC later went on to say that it will be bringing the design philosophy of the One A9 to future handsets in its One M and Desire range.

HTC on Tuesday unveiled the HTC One A9, the latest addition to the company's family of One smartphone that looks similar to Apple's iPhone. The HTC One A9 will go on sale starting November and has been priced at $399.99 (approximately Rs. 26,000) for the unlocked version. There's no word yet on India price and availability. US pre-orders for the HTC One A9 kicked off Tuesday via the company's online store.

The Taiwanese manufacturer is bundling some offers such as the 'Uh-Oh' protection plan that will offer a free phone replacement in the case of a cracked screen, water damage, or a carrier switch within the first twelve months from the date of purchase. The company is also giving away 6 months of Google Play Music subscription. The smartphone will be available in Carbon Grey, Opal Silver, Topaz Gold, and Deep Garnet colour variants. As had been tipped in several leaks, the HTC One A9 comes with a physical button that sits below the screen, and a design that is highly reminiscent of the iPhone 6. The smartphone sports an all-metal body.

Ahead of the One A9 launch, Cher Wang, Chairwoman and CEO HTC, had even claimed that the new One smartphone could be a good "alternative to the iPhone."
