[New Feature] How to Create Private/Encrypted Folders in MiUi File Explorer?

I know privacy is most important thing in our life. We need privacy in each and everything, espcially in our phones. To hide the file(s) we have to use some third party apps in our device. If we have an option to hide the file(s) by default, isn't it good? Yes, it's now possible. We can hide any file(s) in our Xiaomi device. MIUI Again surprised us by providing the new feature Private folder.

What is private folder? How does it works?
Private folder is a secret folder. It hides the file(s) added in that. We can add and restore the files in simple way.

Do we have security to protect the Private folder?
Yes, we have security to protect the Private folder.
↣If you have enabled Lockscreen security then you have to use the same password/pin/pattern.

↣If you don't have any lockscreen security then you have to create new password/pin/pattern.

How to add and restore the file(s)?
To add the file(s)
↣Hold the file(s)
↣Select "More" and click "Add to private" option
The file will be added in Private folder successfully

To restore the file(s)
↣Hold the file(s)
↣Select "Decrypt" option
The file will be restored successfully

Where can I find the restored file(s)?
The restored file(s) will be available in the "FileExplorer" folder. The file will be restored to the same storage memory. For example, if the file is added from SD card it will be restored in SD card but in the "FileExplorer" folder. Check below for the path,
↠FileExplorer>decryption

Will this Private folder available along with the other folders?
No, it will not be available along with other folders. It will be also hidden in the File Explorer.

Can we add folder(s) to the private folder?
No, we can't add folder(s) but we can create folder(s). We can only add file(s).
Refer to the below screen guide for more steps.

How to disable private folder?
You can disable this function in Settings>Lockscreen>Password>Turn off lock

Note: If you select 'Password' option to protect your private folder, please do not use alphabetic password! There's some bug with this function currently. If you set alphabetic password, you will not be able to enter the private folder again. Devs are working to fix this issue as soon as possible.

If you already got this issue. Please reboot to Recovery mode, and clear data to solve it.

So how do you like this new feature?
