NEW DELHI: Chinese brand Gionee has launched the newest addition to its S series of smartphones, named S Plus. The all-new Gionee S Plus is among the handful of smartphones featuring a USB Type C port for fast-charging and has been priced at Rs 16,999.
Gionee S Plus, powered by Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, features a 5.5-inch HD (720p) AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass protection. The 4G LTE smartphone runs on a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor with 3GB RAM and comes with 16GB internal storage; it supports microSD cards for storage expansion.
On the imaging front, there's a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP shooter for selfies. The smartphone can access the internet at 4G speeds and has a 3,150mAh battery. It is available in dark blue, white and golden colours.
Gionee has included software features like Face Unlock, 3D vibration mode, rumble effect while zooming and immersive touch in S Plus phablet.
