Unfortunately for Nokia fans in India, the Nokia 6 is a China-exclusive smartphone that will be available only via JD.com at 1699 CNY (roughly Rs. 16,750) in "in early 2017".

The company Confirmed it has no plans to launch the Nokia 6 in other markets

According to the latest rumours, two Nokia-branded Android phones made by Finland's HMD Global might be soon making their way to the market. The leaks suggest that the 5.2-inch and 5.5-inch phones will sport 2K resolution (QHD) displays and will come with IP68 certification, which effectively means they will be highly resistant to water and dust on the similar lines to phones like the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy S7.

As per a report by Gizmo China, the phones are rumoured to be powered by Snapdragon 820 chipset and will come with Z-Launcher System UI based on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat.

The phones is tipped to have an all-metal body and according to a report by Nokia Power User both will sport an Oled screen. It also adds that the phones might also pack fingerprint scanners, and will be based on Android 7.0 Nougat. It says that "the sensors on these two smartphones may be most sensitive ever and will be based upon Nokia's extensive research on wonder material graphene."

Nokia Power User has said that the official unveil for these two smartphones is planned towards the end of 2016 but adds that their launch date will be dependent on testing and development of the phones and might move to first quarter of 2017.

In May this year, Nokia said that it has granted the newly-established HMD Global, the exclusive global license to create and sell Nokia-branded mobile phones and tablets for the next 10 years.

Nokia was the world's top mobile maker before it was dethroned by Apple and Samsung. The Finnish company's decision to choose Windows Phone platform proved to be the wrong one, and the company had to eventually sell its handset business to Microsoft for a consideration of $7.2 billion (roughly Rs. 48,340 crores) in 2014.

Another Nokia C1 smartphone image has popped up on the Internet along with some rumoured specifications. The image and the specifications come from the same source that provided the last renderindicating the handset will arrive in two variants - one running Windows 10 Mobile and the other Android.

The new image shows the rumoured Nokia C1 running its Z Launcher on the Android OS. The handset is seen in Grey, White, and Peach colour versions. The design goes in line with the previous leak as well. The source (via Nokia Power User) goes on to explain that the smartphone will arrive in two sizes both of which will also have a different camera setup.

As per the source, while one variant will house 5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) resolution display, the other will sport a larger 5.5-inch full-HD display. The smaller Nokia C1 version will bear 2GB RAM + 32GB inbuilt storage setup and along with an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The larger variant will feature 3GB RAM + 64GB inbuilt storage setup along with a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

It is further said that the Nokia smartphone has been in-the-making for so long that the company scrapped the original hardware design of the C1 and replaced it with a better one in the interim.

Previous leaks and rumours for the Nokia C1 pointed out the handset to run Android with the company's Z Launcher and Windows 10 Mobile as well - tipping the handset could be offered in two variants for the two operating systems.

It needs to be pointed out that Nokia can't use its brand on smartphones until Q4 2016, because of theacquisition of its devices and services division by Microsoft. Earlier this year, Nokia announced that it intends to get back in the smartphone business by licensing designs to hardware manufacturers.

Microsoft has unveiled Nokia 230 and Nokia 230 Dual SIM feature phones. Both the phones have been priced at $55 (approximately Rs. 3,700) before local taxes and subsidies.

The Nokia 230 and Nokia 230 Dual SIM will go on sale in India next month. The phones sales are also expected to start in December in Asia, and the Middle East. The company confirmed that other markets will follow in 2016. At the time of writing, neither of the two handsets was listed on the company site.

Microsoft is touting the handsets as 'premium quality Internet-enabled feature phones.' One of the biggest highlight of the Nokia 230 and Nokia 230 Dual SIM are that they sport a 2-megapixel front and rear cameras. Both cameras pack LED flashes. Another notable feature of the Nokia 230 and Nokia 230 Dual SIM phones are they feature sandblasted aluminium cover.

Both the new phones come with the same set of specifications except that the Nokia 230 Dual SIM supports dual-SIM functionality. Both the handset support Micro-SIM cards, and both run Nokia Series 30+ OS. Both the phones come with the Opera Store access where users can download one free Gameloft game every month for a year. Some of the titles include Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and Midnight Pool 3. The company however notes that the store is available in select markets.

Other preloaded apps include Bing Search and Opera Mini browser as well as MSN Weather.

The Nokia 230 and Nokia 230 Dual SIM feature a 2.8-inch QVGA (240x320 pixels) LCD display. They support expandable storage up to 32GB via microSD card. Connectivity options on the phones include GPRS/ EDGE, Bluetooth v3.0, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Microsoft has packed a 1200mAh battery on the handsets that it is claimed to deliver up to 23 hours of talk time; up to 22 days of standby time (dual-SIM model) and up to 27 days of standby time on single-SIM model. The Nokia 230 measures 124.6x53.4x10.9mm, and weighs 92 grams. The Nokia 230 and Nokia 230 Dual SIM will both be available in glossy Black and White colours.

The leaked image render for the Nokia C1 shows the handset in White, Gold, Pink, and Grey colour variants alongside two more units. While the unit in foreground is seen running the Nokia Z Launcher for Android, the one in the background (right side) is seen running Windows 10 Mobile. The tipster who leaked the image said (via Nokiapoweruser) that the handset will arrive in both OS versions.

In addition, while a leaked image from September showed the smartphone's rear camera at the centre, the latest render shows it placed on the top-left corner. Since Nokia is still silent on the matter, the latest leaked render should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Going by past leaks and rumours, the Nokia C1 is tipped to include a 5-inch FHD display, an 8-megapixel rear camera, and a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. It is said to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow as well. Previous reports have suggested that the Nokia C1 will be powered by an Intel chipset and feature 2GB of RAM.

It needs to be pointed out that Nokia can't use its brand on smartphones until Q4 2016, because of theacquisition of its devices and services division by Microsoft.
