OnePlus will launch the next smartphone in its portfolio on November 15, widely expected to be an upgraded version of the OnePlus 3 flagship smartphone that was launched in June this year. The upcoming model, likely to be called OnePlus 3T going by rumors and the teaser the company has released, will feature a faster processor, better camera, and new display type. In fact, OnePlus was recently also reported to have halted production of the OnePlus 3 to focus its efforts on the new variant powered by the upgraded Snapdragon 821 SoC.

Has OnePlus 3T piqued your curiosity? Here's everything we know so far about the OnePlus 3T.
OnePlus 3T launch
OnePlus 3T will be unveiled at 1pm ET (11.30pm IST) on November 15 via a Facebook Live video. There is no word yet on the release details of the smartphone.

OnePlus 3T specifications & features
OnePlus 3T is expected to be a meaningful upgrade to the OnePlus 3 (Review), but don't expect radical changes. The new OnePlus smartphone is expected to look quite similar to its predecessor, with most of the meaningful changes on the inside.

Qualcomm and OnePlus have confirmed that the OnePlus 3T smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 821 chipset, making it the only non-Google Pixel smartphone to carry the SoC. This, along with Android 7.0 Nougat-based OxygenOS, is expected to bring performance improvements. Another major change is in the display panel, which may go from the Optic AMOLED of OnePlus 3 to LCD in OnePlus 3T. However, this may not pan out, since CEO Carl Pei recently said that OnePlus will continue to use the Optic AMOLED in the anticipated future.

OnePlus also tipped to include a 16-megapixel Sony IMX398 sensor for the rear camera, instead of the 16-megapixel Sony IMX298 sensor seen on the OnePlus 3. Other specifications from recent leaks include a larger 3300mAh battery, 6GB of RAM, as well as 64GB and 128GB built-in storage variants.

OnePlus 3T price
While at first no price had been leaked for the OnePlus 3T, a recent leak pegs it at $480 (roughly Rs. 32,100) - $80 more than the OnePlus 3, which is priced at Rs. 27,999 in India.

With just one day to go to the OnePlus 3T launch, you don't have a long wait ahead of you. Will it be enough to lure buyers away from iPhone 7 Plus and Google Pixel XL with its features and price tag is anybody's guess.
OnePlus 3 With Snapdragon 820 SoC Spotted in Benchmark Results

OnePlus has been working on its third flagship smartphone for months now, which Co-Founder Carl Pei claimed will sport a "new design," and is expected to launch in the second quarter of this year. Now, the rumoured OnePlus 3 has been spotted in AnTuTu benchmark results tipping the innards of the handset.

According to the benchmark listing, the OnePlus 3 comes with the model number OnePlus A3000 and features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC; Adreno 530; 4GB of RAM; 16-megapixel rear camera; 8-megapixel front camera, and runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The smartphone is said to sport 32GB built-in storage and come with a screen resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. The benchmark listing suggests that OnePlus may skip a QHD display in its OnePlus 3 flagship smartphone. To recall, the OnePlus 2 launched last year and featured a full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) screen, and was marketed as '2016 flagship killer'. The details were shared on Weibo and first picked up by Android Community.

Carl Pei had recently also claimed that the new flagship from OnePlus will "captivate" users just as the company's first handset, the OnePlus One, had. Further, he had added that OnePlus 3 will be arriving in the US and other markets as an unlocked smartphone and will be sold directly by OnePlus.

The Chinese tech firm is rumoured to come up with a "better buying process", details of which were not disclosed. OnePlus will ship the handsets free of cost and will also be accepting payment via credit card, rather than only PayPal payments.
NEW DELHI: OnePlus has globally launched the Champagne Edition of its OnePlus X smartphone. This version of the small-screen OnePlus X was available only in China till now.
The OnePlus X Champagne Edition smartphone sports a white body made of glass and gold/champagne coloured metallic frame. This is a variant of the Onyx model, which sports a glass body with black paintjob.

OnePlus X Champagne Edition requires an invite for purchase and costs 269 euros. There is no official word regarding when the smartphone will hit the Indian market.

OnePlus X full specs

It will be available without invite on December 22 as part of the company's open sale.

OnePlus on Thursday turned two and on the occasion announced an all new Champagne edition of itsOnePlus X. Carl Pei, OnePlus Co-Founder, in an official blog post revealed that the OnePlus X Champagne edition will be available in White and Gold versions in countries other than China. The Chinese company confirmed that the new version will be going on sale first in Europe followed by other markets soon.
The Champagne edition will be available during the company's weekly open sales; though it will be go on sale based on a "first-come, first-served basis". Those who already have an invite for the OnePlus X (Review) can use them for a Champagne edition on any day, according to Pei. The OnePlus X Champagne edition has been listed on the company's China site at CNY 1,599 (approximately Rs. 16,500) same as the Onyx version.
Originally a China-exclusive, the Champagne edition will now be made available in Europe, before becoming available in other markets. As of now, the company has not revealed rollout plans for markets that require country-specific invites, like India. Under the hood, there is no difference in the specifications of the Champagne edition to the other two versions of the OnePlus X - Onyx and Ceramic.
Apart from the announcement of the OnePlus X Champagne edition, Pei also discussed the company's journey so far in his letter to the community. He claimed that 2015 will be remembered as the year where the company "marked that OnePlus is here to stay".
Talking about the future plans, Pei said, "Growing as fast as we have in two years, we have a lot of areas we need to improve. As we enter our third year, a lot of our shortcomings become inexcusable. In 2016, there is no excuse for any part of OnePlus to not live up to, if not exceed, industry standards."
To refresh, the OnePlus X features a 5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display; powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 801 quad-core SoC clocked at 2.3GHz, and 3GB of RAM. Other features of the OnePlus include 16GB of built-in storage expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB), a 13-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel front facing snapper, and a 2525mAh non-removable battery. The dual-SIM capable smartphone supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, and other standard connectivity features.
OnePlus recently had announced that its OnePlus X would be available without invites every Tuesday. Unfortunately, the open sale on every Tuesday for the OnePlus X doesn't apply to Indian consumers, who require a country-specific invite.

Rumours for OnePlus' next flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 3, have started brewing. Some handset render images have surfaced on the Web alongside some alleged specifications from a tipster.
According to a tipster named Upleaks (via Android Headlines), the OnePlus 3 handset will pack the 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC and will stick with full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) resolution display. The tipster however, is not sure of the specifications as of now, proving these specifications to be not much more than rumours. Unfortunately, nothing else is known about the handset for now.

In a separate report from Mobile Dad website, two images have made their way to the Web claiming to show the front and rear panels of OnePlus 3. The images show two front-facing speakers at top and bottom along with a front-facing camera placed at the top-right corner. The rear camera and flash setup fall in line with the design sported by the OnePlus 2. The company logo is placed at the centre. Interestingly, the front panel is seen with no capacitive buttons or the fingerprint sensor, like seen in OnePlus two. Wired stripes are also visible on the edges but it is too early to say what their purpose is.
OnePlus earlier this month scrapped the invite system for its current OnePlus 2 flagship smartphone. It announced that those interested in purchasing the smartphone won't need to have an invite. Priced at Rs. 16,999 for the Onyx variant, and Rs. 22,999 for the limited edition Ceramic variant, the dual-SIM smartphone will be made available via the company's much-criticised invite system, and will go on sale via Amazon India. It will release on November 5 for the Onyx variant, and November 24 for the Ceramic variant. OnePlus specified only 10,000 units of the Ceramic variant will be made available globally.
