BHOPAL: A person was seriously injured when his Micromax mobile phone suddenly exploded in his trouser pocket on Friday morning.
Rambharose Raikwar, 41, a daily wager with Panna Tiger Reserve (PTR), sustained burns in his right thigh as a result of the explosion.
The incident took place around noon when Raikwar was at work. The phone was kept in the right pocket of his pant.
"My thigh sustained severe burns and the pants caught fire. In a haste, I had to hurriedly remove my pants and rush to the nearest hospital," Rambharose told TOI over phone.
The battery was also not overcharged, it was just 75%, he said.

"It was one-year-old Micromax Canvas A110 phone and there was no issue with my phone till date. I just could not understand how it exploded," he said.
